I've forayed into designing my own socks before, but this time, I'm much more educated in terms of socks and how to write patterns and such. I've been thinking about knitting some anklets with this yarn (the gorgeous Claudia Handpainted Yarns in Carribean Blue), and I figured I should make my own design. It'll be something lacey, more or less.
But before I started another pair, I figured I should finish the one I had started...
... since this one still needs its mate.

Love that Claudia. How fun to be writing your own pattern! I am knitting socks with no pattern now, but it's just a simple 2 x 1 rib! I was attempting to make "footies", but my heel and gussett made them too high on my foot for what I wanted. What pattern is your short blue sock? I like that.
