Just keep knitting, just keep knitting...

Lots of grey knitting lately... and I did it while watching reruns of Grey's Anatomy online! Yeay!

Anyway, here is the previously mentioned "INFERNAL" hat:

I forgot my friend's birthday. Really. Just plumb slipped my mind. Even Facebook failed me! So, he requested beanies for Christmas. He showed me one he particularily liked, not knowing how painful it would be to recreate in knitting. I guess the only thing that makes it so annoying is how tedious it is. 200 stitches of 2x2 ribbing. Egh. I need to finish it for my friend because he goes back to college on the 3rd and I go to college about 3000 miles away, making it difficult to give it to him later.

Coming home meant rummaging through yarn I'd left behind. I found a lovely skein of Claudia's Handpainted yarns in Carribbean Blue. I had used the other skein to knit some socks for my mom... I think I'm going to try to recreate them for a pair for me.

I also found two skeins of woolly grey yarn...

The yarn has a long history and story, but that's for another time. I'm trying to decide what to knit with it... either the Irish Hiking Scarf or Backyard Leaves. I'm leaning toward the latter... I really wanted to knit the Backyard Leaves in a silvery grey for some reason, and this is the perfect shade... However, the yarn is so squishy I feel like it's more suited for cables. Oh well, we'll see.
